Hurray! Never thought I could do 15km, until I tried it today. Now I can say "15km? Been there, done that.." hahaha.. opps, was that a wee bit yaya? =P

I was really nervous before the run cos I haven't been training at all.. apart from my regular twice a week netball sessions. But netball is short-distance, high-speed, high-impact, sudden bursts of speed.. Quite different from a well-paced, endurance marathon of 15km. I think I took slightly more than 2 hours to complete it.. quite lousy huh~

I also pretty glad & surprised that my knees didn't give up on me halfway through the run. Well, they did hurt a bit.. but they still lasted me through a badminton session in the afternoon. heh heh.. I know, I know.. I should show them mercy & let them rest.. that's why I'm not going to netball training tomorrow (if there is any). Resting them for Tuesday's match..

Judging from today's experience, I don't think I'll have much problem completing next Saturday's run - 10.5km Adidas Sundown Marathon Team Challenge. And I have decided to sign up for the Army Half Marathon (21km) in August.. Jia You!

Had a really enjoyable day with my sisters on Saturday - went for lunch at Rose Veranda (Shangri La Hotel), followed by shopping. Yepp.. this is the way to live life man.. haha..

The afternoon lunch buffet was great, only $36++ per adult for a light buffet with loads of desserts & a range of 102 types of tea to choose from (coffee, latte, cappuccino are also available). The atmosphere was very "high-tea", sitting on sofas & eating at coffee tables - it was the perfect setting for gossips & laughs.

Great therapy for the soul, hahaha~ I should do this more often!

Met up with 6RB on Friday evening to celebrate Dajie's birthday.. but the birthday girl couldn't come for dinner! So the rest of us had dinner at Fisherman's Wharf opposite The Central (Clarke Quay). Erm.. the fish & chips was ok, edible but a little oily & after getting through half the fillet, I got rather sick of the batter. Pricing was ok, $7.50 for a Dory Fish & Chips.

But honestly, I would rather pay double the price for Fish & Co. Bleah~ At least there is more variety there.. I mean there are quite a few dishes in the menu but at least half of them are "Not Available" & the place looks rundown, Ber even wondered if the place was going to be closed down!

The night was followed by a chillout session at Helipad, a pretty nice place actually, drinks are decent. Here are our pictures from our girls' night out:
