The pressure was on for IPB as the defending champions for the last 3 yrs, especially when we lost a few players in last yr's retrenchment exercise. With no new staff joining our dept, we had to persuade some of our colleagues to play for us. Our main problem at every game was limited players - we would also play the matches with exactly 7 players or sometimes if we were lucky, we would have up to 2 reserved players.

In the end, by sticking to our playing style of playing a slow-paced game, we emerged champions without a single defeat! Yeap, we won every single game.. This yr, GWM posted a real threat to us. They had a few new players (seasoned players), all with good staminas & with a great desire to win us. One very good thing happened through this league, we made a lot of friends - all fellow netballers - & we have formed a Citibank Club to play in external leagues in the name of Citibank.

Our first competition together was the Energizer League. However the schedule of the matches were not in our favour & clashed with our Citibank League matches, so we didn't have any chance to train together as a team. But everyone was good in their own positions, just that we lacked the chemistry. Nevertheless, we had lots of fun & the best part is that we would no longer have a shortage of players! Woo Hoo..
